![]() San Diego County has approximately $40 million dollars of tobacco tax money to spend each year, and a mandate to spend it to insure every child enters school healthy and ready to learn. Support for breastfeeding mothers, infants, and families is an important component of this mission, and part of the state guidelines. Please try to attend as many meetings as possible to speak up for breastfeeding support. At the beginning of each meeting there is a time for public comment (2 minutes per person). Fill out a form on the way in. Meeting dates and times are available on the San Diego County Children and Families Commission website. Visit the county and state commission sites to get additional information.
