Review of Meeting Minutes

 

 March meeting minutes were approved with no edits.

Treasurer’s Report

Ending bank balance $6597.87

Nancy Wight is creating a budget for reporting purposes

 Coalition will donate $200 for the ILCA conference luncheon.>  Make check to Lactation Consultants of San Diego.

Fundraising Committee

Fashion Show was a success.    Estimating approximately $1000 was made.

  

Advocacy
  • SB22 – Breastfeeding support for low performing hospitals is “on hold”.
  • WBW 2007 – “The 1st Hour – Save 1 Million Babies” – think about things we can do.
 

Community Outreach Committee

Breastfeeding Friendly Award – we are taking nominees for this year’s winner.  Please encourage companies that support breastfeeding to apply for the award. 

ILCA conference – we will have a booth – need volunteers!!  Giveaways and items for sale.

 Move the BFF award timeframe to coincide with the state wide awards.

Membership Committee

Membership Drive has been delayed to wait for online membership sign up.  Online membership expected by the end of May.

  

Professional Outreach Committee

CMEs will be online this year. Working with Children’s to push through the approval process.

ER Drugs & Breastfeeding Project – working with local chapter of AAP to get funding for putting books on drugs and breastfeeding into the ERs and Walgreens.
