  • Mission: As breastfeeding advocates, we will increase breastfeeding initiation and duration rates by providing accurate breastfeeding education support and training to our community.
  • Objectives:
    1. Provide early prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding education and support to mothers in Imperial County via classes, breastfeeding warmlines, home visits and support groups.
    2. Provide training to physicians and other healthcare providers so they can support breastfeeding in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric BF policy statement.
    3. Promote baby friendly policies in our hospitals, doctor's offices & community.
    4. Provide breastfeeding education in our local schools, community college and churches.
    5. Form a local La Leche League in our community.
    6. To always respect and support each other in all of our endeavors.
